Flood Warning
Issued by the National Weather Service at 10:47 am EDT on March 17, 2010


The Flood Warning continues for
the White River at Elliston.
* At 8:00 am Wednesday the stage was 18.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 19.2 feet by
tomorrow evening. The river will fall below flood stage late Friday
morning.
* At 20.0 feet... River Road north of Greene CR 150 W is flooded. Low
agricultural fields flood.




1047 am EDT Wed Mar 17 2010

The Flood Warning continues for
the White River at Spencer.
* At 7:00 am Wednesday the stage was 15.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 15.6 feet by
after midnight tomorrow. The river will fall below flood stage
tomorrow afternoon.
* At 15.5 feet... Gosport Road, also known as County line Road in Owen
County begins to flood on Northside of river. Romona Road west of
Gosport begins to flood. Flooding of low agricultural land is
noticeable.




1047 am EDT Wed Mar 17 2010

The Flood Warning continues for
the White River at Newberry.
* From Thursday afternoon to Friday afternoon.
* At 9:00 am Wednesday the stage was 12.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by tomorrow early afternoon and
continue to rise to near 13.2 feet by early Friday morning. The
river will fall below flood stage by Friday morning.
* At 13.0 feet... flooding of a few lowlands begins in Greene County.
